The trailer of Shaolin (2011) does not do justice to the movie. The cinematography isn’t the best I’ve seen, but the story and its intensity greatly compensate. The things that happen in the movie are terrible. It is filled with death, death and more death. In a way, you can compare it to The Lord of the Rings where the only thing there is to hold on to is hope; hope for a bright future filled with peace.
How dark must your heart to harm those who only want to help others? How dark must your heart to harm those who only want peace?
The drama, the darkness, the intensity, the enlightenment; those are things to look for in this terribly beautiful story. Shaolin is a movie with a lot of heart.
