We were going skiing. I was driving on the highway for over an hour. I was passing cars. Cars were passing us. It’s a little snowy. Suddenly, we hear a noise that sounds a lot like a flat tire. I don’t need to see it to start feeling annoyed. I signal my intention to go to the right to stop. We get out of the car to investigate while cars keep coming and going around us.
What we see is impressive enough to make us forget about taking a photo: smoke was coming out of the front left wheel. For a moment, I wondered if it was linked to the engine at all, so I checked but that wasn’t it.
The biggest mystery is the tire itself. What you see on the photo is half of the massive slashes that appeared. Nothing happened on the tire, but only on its side which is just weird. It’s like Freddy Krueger or Wolverine slashed it multiple times.
I don’t recall seeing anything on the road that could possibly do that. Forget seeing, I can’t even think of anything that can do that.
On the bright side of things, this isn’t a boring flat tire and I am happy to know how to change a tire (eHow.com), a knowledge that I recommend everybody to possess. For some reason, eHow.com also has a guide for women to change tires and it lists car manual and gloves as things that are needed…
Anyway, changing tires is a useful knowledge to have, especially in Quebec where you have to do it at least eight times per year. It saves you a significant amount of money that you can spend on food.
