Video-wise, I prefer the Canon 7D, there is no doubt about that. It captures colors better with much better contrast. However, you must give props to the iPhone 4, a tiny device that isn’t a camera but just happens to have one.
Canon 7D definitely wins over iPhone 4, but that isn’t the lesson to take away. No one can deny that the iPhone 4 produces great images, so what you must see and keep in mind is that the gap between consumers and professionals is closing on the technical front. Could this be a reason why so many movies are getting released in 3D? I doubt it, but it would certainly make sense that professionals are actively looking for new ways to up their game.
